Ready, Respectful, Safe
Wesley Methodist Primary School pupils have been demonstrating how they are ‘Ready, Respectful and Safe’ around school.
These three simple standards help to support children in making the right choices at all times and thinking carefully about whether they are displaying the behaviour of a child who is being ready, being respectful and being safe.
Each half term, the school holds a special assembly celebrating children who have stood out for their ‘ready, respectful, safe’ actions around school.
The adults in each class select three children, one for each of the standards, meaning 33 children each half term are celebrated for their actions.
The 11 children nominated all get a Headteacher’s award with one child for each area taking home a trophy for being a stand out representation for what it means to be a Wesley Child.
This fantastic celebration helps all the children understand how to be ‘ready, respectful and safe’ in their daily lives through excellent role-modelling by peers.
