Equality Monitoring and Diversity Information

As part of our commitment to the Public Sector Equality Duty, Epworth Education Trust collects and monitors workforce equality information relating to protected characteristics, where this information has been voluntarily provided by employees, governors and volunteers. This information helps us identify trends, review employment practices, understand the diversity of our workforce and governance structures, and assess whether any groups may be under-represented.

The Trust publishes summary equality information annually to demonstrate how it is meeting its duty to eliminate discrimination, advance equality of opportunity and foster good relations. Data is reported in an anonymised format to protect individual privacy and may include information relating to characteristics such as age, disability, sex, ethnicity, religion or belief, and other protected characteristics where disclosure rates allow meaningful reporting. We use this information to inform our equality objectives, workforce planning, recruitment practices, staff development opportunities and governance arrangements.
